Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in Chennai seeks a design engineer to develop drive shaft components and assemblies using CATIA V5. You will create 3D models, 2D drawings, and layouts, while preparing manufacturing drawings with GD&T in line with industry standards.

You will perform tolerance analysis, support validation, and coordinate with CAE, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Testing teams. You’ll contribute to design reviews, ECN/ECR processes, and ensure compliance with automotive specs and

Qualifications

• Experience designing drive shaft components.
• Familiarity with CATIA V5 and GD&T standards.

• Create and modify 3D models, 2D drawings, and assembly layouts.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings with GD&T as per industry standards.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and support design validation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including CAE, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Testing.
• Support design reviews, DFMEA, and engineering change management (ECN/ECR).
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, automotive standards, and design guidelines.
• Resolve design issues during prototype and production stages.
• Maintain engineering documentation and BOM.
