Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in India is seeking an experienced Automotive Exhaust Design Engineer with hands-on CATIA V5 expertise for designing and developing exhaust system components and assemblies. The role covers 3D modeling, routing, detailing, design validation, and coordination with CAE, NVH, manufacturing, testing, and supplier teams.

The candidate will contribute to packaging and routing within vehicle architecture, ensuring proper clearances and supporting engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CATIA V5 experience for exhaust system design and development.
• Experience with 3D modeling, packaging, and assemblies.
• Ability to coordinate with CAE, NVH, manufacturing and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive exhaust systems and components using CATIA V5.
• Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Develop exhaust routing and packaging considering vehicle architecture and available space.
• Perform DMU, clearance, interference, and accessibility checks.
• Ensure adequate clearance from major vehicle subsystems (engine, transmission, fuel system, etc.).
• Support ECR/ECN and engineering change activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers for component development, tooling, manufacturing feasibility, and technical issue resolution.
• Design exhaust component.
