Job summary

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a brake systems design engineer in Chennai to design and develop brake components using CATIA V5. You will create 3D models, 2D drawings and assembly layouts, and prepare manufacturing drawings with GD&T in line with industry standards.

You will perform tolerance stack-up analysis, support design validation, and collaborate with CAE, Manufacturing, Testing, Purchasing and Supplier Quality teams through the product development cycle, while contributing to DFMEA and

Qualifications

• Experience designing brake system components and assemblies.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 for creating 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Ability to perform tolerance stack-up analysis and GD&T.
• Experience in DFMEA and ECN/ECR processes.
• Ability to collaborate with CAE, Manufacturing, Testing, Purchasing, and Supplier Quality teams.

• Maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, and design records.

• Design and develop brake system components, including brake discs, brake drums, calipers, backing plates, brake pedals, brackets, and related assemblies using CATIA V5.
• Create and modify 3D models, 2D drawings, and assembly layouts.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings with GD&T in accordance with industry standards.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and support design validation activities.
• Collaborate with CAE, Manufacturing, Testing, Purchasing, and Supplier Quality teams throughout the product development cycle.
