Job Summary
Service NOW Developer
Key Responsibilities
- Development & Configuration Design and develop ServiceNow applications and modules.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow workflows, forms, catalogs, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, and ACLs.
- Develop and maintain Service Catalog items, Record Producers, Flow Designer workflows, and Integration Hub solutions.
- Build reusable components and automation frameworks to improve operational efficiency.
- Develop custom applications using ServiceNow App Engine.
- Integration & Automation Develop integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems using REST, SOAP, APIs, MID Server, and Integration Hub.
- Implement workflow automation to streamline IT and business processes.
- Support CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and asset management integrations.
- Create and maintain inbound and outbound data integrations.
- Service Management Support ITSM processes including: Incident Management Problem Management Change Management Request Management Knowledge Management Asset & Configuration Management
- Quality & Governance Perform unit testing, code reviews, and deployment support.
- Follow ServiceNow development best practices and governance standards.
- Prepare technical documentation and knowledge articles.
- Participate in release and change management activities.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot platform-related issues.
Skill Requirements
- Required Technical Skills ServiceNow Expertise Strong hands-on experience with: ServiceNow ITSM Flow Designer Service Catalog CMDB Discovery Integration Hub Knowledge Management Asset Management
- Scripting & Development JavaScript Glide API Business Rules Client Scripts Script Includes UI Actions Scheduled Jobs Workflow and Flow Designer Integrations REST APIs SOAP Web Services JSON/XML MID Server LDAP/AD Integrations SSO Implementations Database & Reporting SQL knowledge ServiceNow Reporting and Dashboards Performance Analytics (preferred)
- Preferred Skills ServiceNow ITOM Service Mapping Discovery HAM (Hardware Asset Management) SAM (Software Asset Management) Employee Center Virtual Agent Now Assist / GenAI capabilities Agile and DevOps methodologies
Other Requirements
- Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) preferred.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) preferred.
- Additional certifications in ITSM, ITOM, HAM, or Integration Hub are advantageous.
