Job summary

Jindal Stainless (JSL) in India seeks a senior project coordinator for HSM expansion. You will support the head of project coordination and operation assistance to ensure milestones are met within budget.

Responsibilities include monitoring tender specs, selecting technology suppliers and construction partners, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring clear scope division with vendors and clients. Strong leadership and SME in HSM required.

Qualifications

• BE / BTech Mechanical required with project coordination experience.
• Total 20–22 years of relevant experience in heavy industries.
• Subject matter expert in Hot Strip Mill.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Job Purpose

Assisting head (Project Coordination. & Operation Assistance) to ensure HSM ongoing project is coordinated to eliminate the future bottlenecks for achieving target timeline and budget.

1. Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Accountabilities Activities: Configuring the right layout and TS1. Assist head in developing options to achieve smoother project coordination achieving the targets.2. Assist Head in monitoring, updating, comparing tender specifications for the purpose of finalizing technology supplier, detailed engineering consultant and construction partner. Selection of technology supplier3. Assist head in coordination and monitoring of the right vendor in consultation with technology groups JSL.4. Assist in reviewing the crystal-clear scope division between vendor and client ensuring no loose ends.Selection of detailed engineering consultant 1. Assist Head to review the right vendor capable of providing one stop solution to all engineering issues required to be addressed during the projectSelection of construction partner 1. Assist in reviewing the right construction partner(s) for civil, structural and equipment works considering overall timeline and budget.Planning & Execution 1. Assist in collating information required for project monitoring and control systems including cash flows for the assigned area.5. Coordination with Section in charges and section head to keep track of project.6. Assist in preparing the organization chart, track KPI’s, and project charterIdentification and on boarding of key project personnel 1. Assist in identifying competent people as per requirement.

1. Review the project and raise periodic flags in advance for smoother execution and debottlenecking.2. Detailed monitoring and raising flags to ensure project is completed in given timeline and budget with safely.

1. Comparing the technical specifications.2. Technical reviewing and comparing regarding general equipment’s.3. Recommendations to Superior 1. Assist in technical reviewing and comparing regarding selection of technology supplier, detailed engineering consultant and construction partner.

1. Educational Qualifications & Certifications 1. BE / BTech Mechanical with experience in similar project coordination2. Total Years of Experience 1. 20-22 years3. Functional Skills 1. Subject matter expert in the area of Hot Strip Mill.4. Should have hands on experience on Project monitoring especially in HSM.5. Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure smooth intra & inter departmental coordination F : Skills:Adequate knowledge & skill in Hot Strip Mill Mechanical Maintenance & project (Reheating Furnace, Roughing Mill ,Coil Box Finishing mill, Down Coiler etc) .Exposure to Hot Strip Mill Projects & Maintenance in large Set Up is a must. Strong communication, analytical & troubleshooting skills. Leadership Skills. Demonstrate to write and provide simple and accurate instruction. Team Building Skills Excellent communication skills, to be able to give and receive feedback in time and more importantly act upon it. Should be open to constructive criticism. Should have strategic outlook so as to devise and execute strategies as per circumstances.
