Job summary

D-tech Management Resource is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a heavy industry site in Pune. The role focuses on preventive maintenance of HT/LT panels, transformers, motors, and drives, with hands-on responsibility for electrical drawings and energy management.

You will lead projects from erection to commissioning, coordinate with suppliers, and uphold TPM standards to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance for large-scale steel plant environments.
• Exposure to HT/LT transformers, switchgear, drives, and motor control centers.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001/14001 and TPM concepts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Project engineering and supervision of erection and commissioning for plant equipment and automation.
• Coordination with equipment suppliers and manpower planning for timely completion.
• Regular inspections and tests to ensure performance and reliability.

Experience in 350 x 2 TPD DRI Kiln. with an installed capacity of 0.3MTPA, 2 x 30-ton Induction Furnaces/ 1.2 Million Ton Pellet Plant

To provide the proper Preventive Maintenance of Machines like HT / LT panels, PLC panels, Drives, Weigh feeders, Motors etc.

Maintenance of 33 KV 75 MVA & 16 MVA transformers

Operation and maintenance of 220KV Switchyard and its equipment

Sought out the breakdown problems of Electrical Equipments Maintenance

Electrical Project & Maintenance

Good understanding of Electrical Drawings, Planning of Project, Erection & Maintenance.

Both practical as well as theoretical knowledge of Different Electrical Instruments.

Strategic Planning

Regular analysing of organizational Electrical Load Consumption with Ratio and Analysis.

Planning & scheduling assignments to achieve pre-set goals within time parameters. Formulating long term/ short term strategic plans to enhance operations.

Responsible for engineering support to tackle• & solve the problem. Execute the preventive maintenance schedule to achieve zero break down Planning and implementation of shut down programmed to achieve maintenance target.

• Having knowledge in maintenance and troubleshooting of AC & DC drives. , HT & LT motors and its control centers, electrical switchgears, weigh feeders, vibrofeeders, rotary kiln slip rings, DG sets, and transformers.
• Keen Understanding of the ISO-9001:2000&14001 quality system & TPM, Five Sigma. Should have exposure of working large integrated Steel Plant.
• Exposed to HT/LT, Motors, AC & DC Drives,Circuit, Breakers, Prevention & Breakdown
• maintainence, 5S, TPM, Etc.
• Centralized Motor repair Workshop : -
• Established & handling Motor overhauling workshop for AC/DC & HT Motors overhauling of Essar/Tata steel. Highest capacity 2.9MW HT motor & 600KW LT slip- ring motor overhauled, motor leads brazing, motor Insulation quality improvement testing. Formulate interplant standard for ensuring quality work of rewinding by external agency.
• Transformer & Motor Club leader : -
• Provided solutions and Co-ordination for reliability of transformers & Motors through best maintenance practices to various s Dept. and sharing MIS on transformers/Motors through monthly club meeting.

Co-ordinate with store and depts. for standardization & inventory control of motors & cost reduction activities, Innovative ideas for modification.

• Conducting regular inspection and tests to ensure the performance capacity of various machines and equipments to ensure smooth operations

Energy Management activity :-

• Supports to depts. for measure/calculate the energy efficiency of various electrical system like Transformers/Motors etc. & Energy saving projects. Internal Auditor for ISO 50001 Energy Management system.
