Job summary

HG Infra Engineering (HGIEL) in India seeks a Lead - Planning & Project Control to oversee centralized planning, monitoring and control for highway and railway projects. You will review schedules, milestones, critical paths and progress against baselines using Primavera P6 and MS Project, and drive recovery plans.

You will consolidate billing, cost, resources and productivity data for leadership, develop dashboards and KPIs, mentor planning teams, and coordinate with functions to ensure smooth

• Identify delays and drive recovery plans with Project Heads.
• Coordinate with Execution, Planning, Contracts, QS/Billing, Procurement and Finance for operations.
• Monitor resource planning and deployment of manpower, machinery and subcontractors.
• Develop standardized planning formats, dashboards, MIS and KPIs for monitoring.
• Provide strategic planning inputs to senior management for performance and risk forecasts.
• Support mobilization and planning of new highway and railway projects including methodology and baseline schedules.
• Lead and mentor planning teams and ensure consistent implementation of planning processes.

Job description

• Lead centralized planning, project monitoring and project-control activities for Highway and Railway projects.


• Review and monitor project schedules, milestones, critical paths and planned vs. actual progress using Primavera P6 / MS Project.


• Consolidate project-wise progress, billing, revenue, cost, manpower, productivity and resource utilization for management review.


• Identify project delays, bottlenecks and critical issues and drive recovery/catch-up plans in coordination with Project Heads.


• Coordinate with Execution, Planning, Contracts, QS/Billing, Procurement, Finance and other functions for effective project operations.


• Monitor project resource planning, productivity and deployment of manpower, machinery and subcontractors against project requirements.


• Develop standardized planning formats, dashboards, MIS and KPIs for effective monitoring and performance improvement across projects.


• Provide strategic planning and operational inputs to senior management for project performance, risks, forecasts and corrective actions.


• Support mobilization and planning of new Highway and Railway projects, including construction methodology, resource planning and baseline schedules.


• Lead and mentor planning teams and ensure consistent implementation of planning and project-control processes across projects.
