Job summary

OpenTalent in Chennai is seeking a DevOps Engineer with 6-10 years of experience. You will design, develop, and deploy infrastructure solutions using Python, Shell scripting, and modern DevOps practices to build scalable platforms that support analytics and business intelligence.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement automation, manage CI/CD pipelines, and work across Linux, cloud, containers, and security tooling to improve quality and delivery velocity.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of DevOps experience.
• Strong Linux knowledge across multiple distros.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and OpenShift virtualization.
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
• Proficiency in container tech and cloud-based PaaS/IaaS (GCP preferred).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (Tekton preferred).
• Programming in Python, Node.js, JavaScript or shell scripting.
• RESTful API development experience.
• Experience with multiple DBs (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Mongo).
• Familiarity with security tools and code quality processes.

• (2+ years) Experience in application and RESTFUL API development
• (2+ years) Experience with multiple databases such as SQL, Oracle, DB2, Postgres, Mongo
• (2+ years) Experience with automated testing, code quality, and security tools such as Cycode, 42Crunch, Checkmarx, Sonarqube, etc..
• Working knowledge of application development architectures, web deployment methodologies and mobile technologies.
• This position requires a wide breadth of skills and experience in-order to develop new application hosting platforms and strategies.

Experience Preferred:

• Experience with IT Automation products such as Terraform, Habitat, Ansible Chef, etc.
• Experience with Ansible Automation Platform
• Experience with VMWare ESX, vCenter, VRA, VRO.
