Job summary

TekWissen India in Chennai is seeking a DevOps Specialist to build, test and maintain infrastructure and tools for software development, deployment and release. You will accelerate releases while ensuring security and reliability across environments.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, automation, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and adoption of DevOps and DevSecOps practices to improve delivery speed and quality. Experience with Kubernetes, cloud services, and AI-assisted development is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and modern app development practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containers, and orchestration (Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Imbibe DevOps methodology and practices across the product lifecycle for various software components
• Accelerate software releases while ensuring security and mitigating the risk of failed/ recalled software releases
• Ensure increase in cycle speed between feedback from end-user to an updated software by leveraging CI/CD, CD, and continuous feedback
• Assess current systems and processes, identify and implement improvements across platforms and tooling
• Assist code releases and deployments in environments like production, testing, and sandbox
• Identify and spearhead automation and innovation opportunities throughout the software product lifecycle

Position Description

Employees in this job function are responsible for building, testing and maintaining the infrastructure and tools for software/ code development, deployment and release. They also help the organization speed up and automate aspects of the software lifecycle through a series of DevOps practices and processes

Key Responsibilities

• Imbibe DevOps methodology and practices across the product lifecycle for various software components
• Accelerate software releases while ensuring security and mitigating the risk of failed/ recalled software releases
• Ensure increase in cycle speed between feedback from end-user to an updated software by leveraging continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous feedback
• Assess current systems and processes, and identify and implement ways to improve them 5. Utilize platform and enterprise tools and infrastructure to facilitate DevOps methodology and approach
• Assist code/ software releases and deployments in various environments like production, testing, sandbox etc.
• Identify and spearhead creation of automation and innovation opportunities throughout the software product lifecycle

• CI/CD & Automation: Strong expertise in CI/CD, DevSecOps, and automating software delivery pipelines using GitHub Actions, scripting, and AI-enabled workflows.
• AI-Assisted Development: Leverages AI for code generation, code review, quality analysis, and developer productivity while ensuring secure and maintainable software.
• Software Engineering: Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, and modern application development practices.
• Cloud & Platform Technologies: Experience with containers, Kubernetes/CaaS, PCF, Linux, WebSphere, and cloud-native platforms.
• Agile Delivery: Works effectively in Agile teams, contributing to planning, prioritization, and iterative delivery with a software craftsmanship mindset.
• Collaboration & Customer Focus: Partners with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions and drive platform adoption.
• Governance & Continuous Improvement: Ensures compliance with security policies and service standards while continuously improving engineering processes through automation and AI.
