Job summary

NTT DATA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS in Bengaluru, India, seeks a DevOps Consultant with 4-8 years of hands-on experience. The role covers Python lifecycle management, Kubernetes, Terraform, and multiple cloud platforms, blending development, automation, platform engineering and operational support.

You will build CI/CD pipelines, deploy containerized apps on Kubernetes, manage IaC with Terraform, and provision cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python applications and understanding of the full lifecycle: development, dependencies, testing, packaging, deployment, production support.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and container orchestration.
• Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of Git-based version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of Python-based applications including development support, deployment, monitoring and production support.

Role Overview

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in Python application lifecycle management, Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate should have experience in building, deploying, automating, monitoring, and supporting enterprise‑grade applications and infrastructure. The role requires a combination of development, automation, platform engineering, and operational support skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete lifecycle of Python-based applications, including development support, dependency management, testing, packaging, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and release processes.
• Design, deploy, and support containerized applications on Kubernetes platforms.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Provision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health, performance, and availability.
• Automate operational tasks using Python and scripting technologies.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues, application failures, performance bottlenecks, and infrastructure incidents.
• Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to ensure reliable and scalable application delivery.
• Implement security, compliance, and governance controls across cloud and container platforms.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills Mandatory

• 4-8 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python applications and understanding of the complete application lifecycle:
  • Development and coding practices
  • Dependency and package management
  • Unit and integration testing
  • Build and deployment processes
  • Production troubleshooting and support
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes administration and container orchestration.
• Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform:

• Experience with Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of Git-based version control systems.

Preferred Skills

• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Docker and containerization technologies.
• Monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or Datadog.
• Experience with microservices architecture and API deployments.
• Exposure to security and DevSecOps practices.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and cloud security concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant cloud or Kubernetes certifications are an added advantage.
