Job summary

SHI in Mumbai is seeking a Desktop Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join immediately. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and macOS, manage Active Directory and Group Policies, and provide remote end-user support.

You will handle Office 365 management, antivirus endpoints, backups, inventory, and vendor coordination. Strong communication is required for a 6-day workweek with General Shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of desktop support experience.
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and macOS.
• Knowledge of Active Directory users, computers, and Group Policies.
• Experience adding workstations to domain and assigning user privileges.
• Knowledge of Office 365 management and Outlook PST/OST handling.
• Experience managing antivirus endpoints and performing routine maintenance.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and macOS applications.
• Manage Active Directory users, computers, and Group Policies.
• Join workstations to domain and assign privileges; install software per requirements.
• Install and troubleshoot Microsoft Outlook; manage PST/OST files.
• Manage Office 365 and antivirus endpoints on user systems.
• Perform system maintenance: patches, scans, defragmentation, cleanup.
• Install printers and scanners; troubleshoot remotely.
• Basic Ubuntu Linux and networking knowledge.
• Handle day-to-day backups; maintain IT asset inventory.
• Provide telephonic and remote user support via remote tools.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software issues.
• Good communication skills are mandatory.

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a Desktop Engineer with min 2 years exp and who can join with us immediately.

Woking Shift : General Shift

Working days : 6 days

• Experience in installation, configuration, troubleshooting of Applications Operating systems Windows 10,11 MAC OS.
• Basic Knowledge on managing Active Directory Users computers and Group policies.
• Adding workstation to domain, giving respective privileges to users on workstation and installation of softwares according to the users requirement.
• Installation, configuration troubleshooting of Microsoft Outlook and managing PSTs OSTs.
• Basic Knowledge on Office 365 management.
• Managing antivirus endpoints in user systems and basic knowledge on Antivirus administration.
• Performing system maintenance tasks such as applying patches, AV scans, Disk defragmentation, Disk cleanup etc.

Installation Configuration of Network printers, Scanners and basic troubleshooting over remote.

• Basic Knowledge in Ubuntu Linux
• Basic Network Knowledge
• Handling the day to day backup activities.
• Maintaining the inventory of PCs and other IT assets.
• Providing telephonic and remote support to users by using remote desktop tools.
