Job summary

ValuePoint in Chennai is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer (L1) to provide first-line IT support for desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals. You will resolve Windows and Office issues, install and configure devices, and assist with basic networking and Active Directory tasks.

Log incidents in ITSM tools and escalate to L2/L3 as needed. Immediate joiners preferred and candidates in the local area are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Windows 10/11 support
• MS Office 365 & Outlook support
• Basic Active Directory knowledge
• Hardware and software troubleshooting
• Basic networking (LAN/Wi‑Fi/VPN)
• ITSM/ticketing tools usage
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot Windows OS, MS Office, Outlook, and basic hardware/software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and applications.
• Resolve user issues related to LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, and basic network connectivity.
• Manage user accounts, password resets, and basic Active Directory tasks.
• Log, track, and update incidents using ITSM tools (ServiceNow/Remedy/Jira).
• Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 support teams.
• Ensure timely resolution of tickets as per SLA and provide excellent end-user support.
