Job summary

Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) seeks a driveline design engineer with 2–7 years of experience to contribute to the development and release of powertrain components. You will work on driving styling, packaging, and performance across driveline parts in a manufacturing setting.

You will create and maintain master cross sections and layouts for half shafts, drive shafts, axles and mounts, perform stack-up analyses, ensure proper packaging and clearance, and update 3D models and drawings per

Qualifications

• 2 to 7 years of experience in driveline components.
• Experience creating new drawings and vehicle packaging.
• Experience with engineering change management and stack-up analysis.
• 3D modeling and drawing updates as per EC requests.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Candidates with 2 to 7 Years of experience in Driveline components
• Must have working experience in creating new drawings, vehicle Packaging, engineering Change management and stackup analysis
• Creation and Maintenance of master cross sections and Layouts for Driveline components such as half shafts, drive shafts, axles and mounts
• Perform Stack-up Analysis (linear, axial/radial & fastener) for Powertrain Systems and subsystems
• Packaging, Clearance/Interference and Design rule checks for Powertrain/driveline components
• 3D Model and Drawing updates as per Engineering Change request
