Job summary

Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) is seeking a Designer for Powertrain with expertise in CATIA V5/3DExperience/Enovia/Teamcenter. 2-4 years of powertrain experience is required, with strong abilities in clearance checks, vehicle integration, and design rule adherence.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in MS Office, possess good communication skills, and be a collaborative team player eager to learn. Internal candidates may be preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/ME in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with 2-4 years of powertrain experience.
• Experience in clearance & interference checks, vehicle integration, packaging and design rules in 3DX.
• Proficient in MS Office tools.
• Exposure to PLM tools is a plus; strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop powertrain components and assemblies.
• Perform clearance/interference checks and ensure proper packaging and interface alignment.
• Participate in digital pre-assembly evaluations to meet master design requirements.

JD

• BE/ME in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with 2-4 years of experience in powertrain (Transmission, Driveline, or Engine).
• Must have practical experience in Clearance & Interference checks, Vehicle Integration, Packaging, and Design Rules for Powertrain/Vehicle components in 3DX environment.
  Strong communication skills are essential.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools is required
• Geometric compatibility studies encompass static and dynamic checks, clearances, variations, positional correctness, and interface completeness within 3DX.
• Conducting Digital Pre-Assembly evaluations to ensure each vehicle part meets master design requirements prior to manufacturing.
• Exposure to PLM tools, methods, and processes will be an added advantage.
  The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills.
  Preference will be given to internal candidates.
  Must be a good team player, eager to learn, and willing to take on responsibilities
