Responsibilities

• Project management: Ensure timely planning, tracking, and execution of design documentation tasks to meet order requirements; maintain lead time targets and quality standards; manage customer relations with regular updates.
• Design: Track pending orders requiring release of design documentation; prepare designs with proper models/layouts/drawings for manufacture; check documents for first-time-right releases; release design documents per lead-time metrics; maintain release activity logs.
• MIS: Ensure periodic MIS reports are generated - weekly, monthly and provide inputs for review meetings on time.

ROLE SUMMARY

Responsible to oversee the preparation, validation, and release of engineering documentation, ensuring alignment with project timelines and manufacturing needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Project management Ensure timely planning, tracking, and execution of design documentation tasks to meet order requirements. Maintaining Lead time targets, and quality standards. Managing relations with the customer leveraging regular updates on requirements. Maintaining clear activity logs for visibility and control. Managing risks, budgetary constraints, and other stakeholder management.
• Design Track the requirements of pending orders requiring release of design documentation Preparation of designs with proper models / layouts and drawings for manufacture Checking documents to ensure first time right in design releases Release of design documents in line with the metrics for lead time Maintain the activity log for the release of design documentation.
• MIS Ensure that the periodic reports for MIS are generated - weekly, monthly and inputs for the review meetings are provided on time every time.
