Job summary

DAR Engineering is seeking a Design Manager to oversee the design process for building projects in India. You will bridge architectural concepts with construction realities, coordinating internal and external design and engineering teams to keep projects on schedule and deliver fully integrated building models.

You will lead design coordination across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines, drive milestones, and ensure regulatory compliance while managing changes and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 14–18 years of experience in design management or a senior coordination role within building projects.
• Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks), AutoCAD, and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Design Coordination: Manage and coordinate all architectural, structural, MEP and other design disciplines to ensure a fully integrated building model.
• Project delivery planning: Track design milestones and manage workflows to ensure timely delivery of stage deliverables/drawings.
• Value Engineering: Identify opportunities to optimize design solutions, reduce financial risk, and lower construction costs without compromising quality.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all building designs comply with local regulations, safety legislations, health codes, and sustainability standards.
• Change Management: Oversee RFIs and design changes during design stages, aligning delivery with contracted scope.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary contact between clients, consultants, internal design teams, and management.
• Quality Assurance: Review technical submissions, consultant drawings, and material specifications to maintain high standards.

• Quality Assurance: Review technical submissions, consultant drawings, and material specifications to maintain strict quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1418 years of experience in design management or a senior coordination role within building projects.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks), AutoCAD, and project management tools.
• Certifications: Professional accreditations like PMP, or LEED certifications are highly preferred.
