Job summary

United Foodbrands in Kolkata seeks an experienced architect to lead F&B interior fit-out projects. You will ensure timely design delivery, quality drawings, and coordination with consultants for MEP, HVAC, and safety systems.

The role involves site feasibility studies, BOQ submission, and final plan approvals for new BBQN outlets, with emphasis on cost control and contractor coordination.

Qualifications

• F&B facility planning experience preferred.
• Excellent English communication (written & spoken).
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out, MEP, HVAC, fire safety, lighting.
• Ability to coordinate with consultants/architects for drawings.
• Multilingual abilities are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure drawings are completed on time per schedules and quality guidelines.
• Evaluate site feasibility within deadlines.
• Conduct initial technical feasibility study for BBQN fit-out.
• Provide clear solutions to PM queries to ease contractor execution.
• Identify design improvements to reduce future queries.

Role & responsibilities

• Ensuring the design and drawings are completed on time as per the stipulated schedules and ensure the quality of drawings is good and in line with the design guidelines
• Evaluation of site for project feasibility as per guidelines within the time limit specified.
• Carry out initial Technical project feasibility study to check on minimum infrastructure requirement for BBQN interior fit out works.
• Respond with solution and clarity for all the queries raised by project manager during the course of execution of the project which makes easier for the contractors to carry out the execution without any break.
• Identify various queries and qualities sought during the course of execution of the project and improvise on the same during designing next outlet, so that number of queries can be reduced, reducing dependency on the design coordinator and architect once given the complete set of drawings.
• Audit site during implementation and post completion once for quality of work and check whether the execution was as per drawing
• Submit BOQ along with final detailed drawings
• Evaluating the performance of architect as per the drawing and give feedback and pass the bill for payment and ensuring good relationship with architect.

Preferred candidate profile

• F&B Facility planning experience (desirable)
• Outstanding verbal and written communications skills in English and the ability to persuade others to consider a different point of view.
• Skill in developing and making effective presentations
• Strong knowledge of interior fitout works, MEP, HVAC, Plant and machineries, fire safety, Lighting systems, Hardware networking development/management
• Creative and a critical trained eye for creative review
• Nuanced in high volume business operations (desirable)
• Multiple language skills (desirable)
• Technical problem solver (desirable)

Additional Task

• Making initial block layout of front of the house and back of the house plan.
• Take approvals on entire final plan for new BBQN outlet
• Coordinate with consultant on MEP & HAVC, Fire safety and networking drawing and approvals
• Plan kitchen bar layout and approvals
• Write kitchen and bar equipment specifications
