Job summary

Ainsley Joseph Herft is seeking an experienced Lead E&I Engineer to manage complete Electrical & Instrumentation design activities from our India Office in Puducherry. The role involves leading a team, coordinating with clients for technical clarifications and approvals, and delivering detailed design including SLDs, cable schedules, and equipment datasheets for Oil & Gas projects.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience in Oil & Gas E&I design.
• Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Electrical/EEE/Instrumentation engineering.
• Experience with ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD/E3D/SP3D/Revit and MS Office.
• Strong leadership and client handling skills; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical & instrumentation drafting and detailed design for Oil & Gas projects.
• Coordinate and mentor team members and provide peer reviews.
• Coordinate with clients for technical clarifications and approvals.
• Review vendor documents and ensure compliance with client specs and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Piping, Mechanical and Civil teams for model integration and clash checks.

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Lead E&I Engineer to handle complete Electrical & Instrumentation design activities from our India Office.

• Team Handling: Handling team, coordinating and providing guidance on work / project execution.
• Client Coordination: Communicating with clients / client coordination for technical clarifications and approvals.
• Lead and execute electrical drafting and detailed design for Oil & Gas projects.
• Develop and manage cable schedules, load lists, and equipment datasheets.
• Prepare and review technical documents such as:

1. Single Line Diagrams (SLD)Load lists

2. Cable sizing and routing

3. Lighting layouts

4. Earthing and lightning protection systems

5. Equipment and cable schedules

• Work closely with other teams (Piping, Mechanical, Civil) to coordinate model integration and clash checks.
• Mentor junior engineers / designers and provide peer reviews of engineering outputs.
• Ensure designs meet client specifications, international safety standards, and project timelines.
• Review of vendor documents and Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE).

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical / EEE / Instrumentation Engineering.
• 8 to 10 + Years of experience in Oil & Gas E&I Design.
• Must have experience in ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD / E3D / SP3D / Revit and MS Office package.
• Strong leadership and client handling skills require
