Job summary

Ballestra Engineering And Projects in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation lead for complex chemical plant projects. You will drive EPC deliverables, review designs, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across LV/MV scopes.

The role emphasizes hands-on drafting (AutoCAD), technical leadership, and client-facing collaboration, with a strong focus on FEED, estimation, and detailed engineering in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Total experience 12-18 years in relevant field.
• Min 5 years in complex chemical plant engineering (core electrical or instrumentation) with LV/MV.
• Strong EPC background managing FEED, estimation, specs, contracts, and detail engineering.

Responsibilities

• Preparation/Review & submission E&I Basic & detail engineering deliverables to client/customer.
• Tender/Procurement Support.
• Preparation of List of Deliverables & Man-Hours Estimation.
• Front runner/key member of the detailed engineering team.
• Responsible for sizing calculation, selection of electrical equipment/instruments & layout for electrical & Instrumentation engineering.
• Responsible for specification, data sheet & MTO for MV & LV electrical equipment and instruments.
• Prepare/review SLDs, cable tray layouts, BOMs, etc.
• Experience in system testing (FAT and SAT).
• Hands-on experience on drafting software like AutoCAD.
• Develop electrical and instrument layout drawings using AutoCAD software.
• Develop cable tray routing drawings using AutoCAD software.
• 3D model review for collision checks of Cable Trays with structure/piping.
• Knowledge of various safety standards/certifications in the electrical field.
• Hazardous area safety regulations/classifications related to electrical/Instrumentation devices.

Must-have requirements:

• Prior expertise working on complex chemical plant engineering (core electrical or instrumentation) involving low-voltage and medium-voltage applications.
• Strong EPC background with the capability to manage complex projects in areas of FEED, estimation, specifications, contract review, and detail engineering. (Min 5 years)
• Excellent communication skills and adaptability; the role involves 80% technical contribution.
• Proven capability to approve engineering deliverables, train the team, and face customers.
• Overall experience of 12-18 years.
