Job summary

BMW TechWorks India Private Limited seeks an experienced CAD specialist for side-doors in the premium segment. You will lead process chain teams, analyze problems, and develop manufacturable solutions from concept to series release, primarily in CATIA V5 for doors and closures.

Strong knowledge of design release systems, sheet metal and plastic parts, and effective cross-functional collaboration are essential. English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Min. 5 years in automotive industry for side doors in premium segment.
• Experience in problem analysis and manufacturable solutions from concept to series release.
• Proven CAD packaging and layout with CATIA V5.
• Knowledge of sheet metal and plastic parts manufacturing.
• Strong release system knowledge and cross-functional collaboration.
• English fluency in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Lead process chain teams for side-door scope from concept to series release.

Job description

• Endurance to work with high workloads and precise methodologies.
• Knowledge of BMW data related to the entire vehicle development process for Doors and Closures.
• The role involves in management of process chain teams including problem analysis and development of manufacturable solutions from concept to series release for the side door scope.
• If design changes are required: Implementation of the component changes in CATIA, execution of the change management process up to the release of the CA models in the BMW systems.
• The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise CAD -CATIA V5 design concept 2D / 3D / Mockup

What should you bring along

• Min. 5 years of experience in automotive industry in Side Doors for Passenger Cars in Premium segment or equivalent qualification as CAD technician with relevant experience
• Experience and deepen knowledge problem analysis and development of manufacturable solutions from concept to series release for the respective component scope.
• Proven experience with CAD packaging,layout creation using CATIA V5 .
• Knowledge about Design, Manufacturing of sheetmetal,plastic parts .
• Extensive knowledge of design release system.
• knowledge of ? Automotive standards
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and mentor.
• Knowledge of BMW work environments is advantageous (PRISMA, NextOne, PQM, IRAM)
• Business fluent knowledge of English (written and spoken)
