Job summary

Hinduja Tech Limited in Chennai seeks a CAD engineer to create 3D models and 2D drawings for gearbox components, using CATIA and related CAD tools. You will develop drawings with GD&T, tolerances, fits, and BOMs, and support design changes and engineering releases.

You will coordinate with CAE, manufacturing, sourcing, and supplier teams, ensure compliance with standards, and maintain CAD data in PLM systems.

• Develop detailed drawings with GD&T, tolerances, fits, and BOMs.
• Support design changes, engineering releases, and drawing updates.
• Coordinate with CAE, manufacturing, sourcing, and supplier teams.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry design standards.

Maintain CAD data and documentation in PLM systems

Required Skills

• Proficiency in CATIA or equivalent CAD software in Part design/Assembly/Sheet metal /Kinematics modules
• Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, forging, and casting.
• Familiarity with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to manual gearbox systems.
• Basic understanding of gears, shafts, bearings, and synchronizers.
• Knowledge of cable shift systems and CSO mechanisms
