Job summary

TVS Motor Company is seeking an experienced engineer to design and develop door closure systems and components at its Hosur facility. You will create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings, while applying GD&T, CAE, DFM/DFMEA to feed back into product designs and ensure robust production releases.

Job Purpose

Design and develop door closure systems and components.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
• understand GDT, CAE, DFM, DFMEA, PFMEA simulations/results and integrate feedback into product designs
• Production release responsibility for all closures mechanisms related to the opening and closing actions of the door and door glass including latches, handles, release cables, window regulators, or other such mechanisms for all exterior closures
• Perform packaging and vehicle integration studies for door closure components.
• Support design reviews, engineering changes, and product development activities.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to validate components
• Support current product and issues
• Ensure excellence in the Closures and GSM team
• Awareness of market trends and developments in order to influence and manage the future developments
