Job summary

TVS Motor Company invites a seasoned Lead - Chassis Architecture 2W to drive chassis system design for new product platforms from Hosur. You will work across design, engineering, testing and manufacturing to deliver robust chassis solutions that meet performance and cost targets.

The role requires extensive R&D experience in automotive chassis, with leadership in VE initiatives and cross-functional coordination. A strong background in DFMEA, DVP, and structural analysis is essential.

Qualifications

• 14 years in Automotive R&D field.
• Experience in Chassis System Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years Chassis System Design & development.
• Experience Leading Value Engineering Initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of chassis systems across functional teams for a product / platform delivering New Products and/or addressing problems in current products.
• Define technical requirements and ensure designs meet performance, durability, weight and cost targets; coordinate with CoCs, Quality, Purchasing, Service, Production and Aftersales.
• Review test procedures and results (performance & durability) and oversee the validation process.
• Ensure design reviews, DFMEA, Design Input Sheet, DVP are completed in timely manner.
• Mentor new engineers for their career goals and objectives.
• Lead Problem solving initiatives & Value Engineering initiatives on chassis systems across product life cycles.
• Ensure compliance with global safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage supplier relationships for the project.

Purpose of the role : - As the Lead - Chassis Architecture 2W, you will be responsible for delivering chassis systems for a Product/Platform working in coordination with multiple design engineers across chassis functions. You will work with the guidance of section head chassis architecture, cross-functionally with design, engineering, testing, and manufacturing teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance the structural integrity and overall riding experience.

Education Qualification:

• BTech or MTech in Mechanical Engineering. Advanced Qualifications are an advantage.
• Any course or certification in project management

Required Experience: 14 years in Automotive R&D field. Experience in Chassis System Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years Chassis System Design & development, Experience Leading Value Engineering Initiatives.

Role Description
