Job summary

Europa Locks is seeking a design engineer to develop parts and assemblies using PTC Creo, including concept and detailed design, with emphasis on manufacturability.

You will verify designs via tolerance analysis, prototyping, and testing, and prepare 2D drawings and BOMs for sheet metal and plastic components. Experience with DFMEA and GD&T is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Creo experience for part modeling, assemblies and drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T ASME Y14.5 / ISO standards is required.
• Experience with sheet metal, plastics, die casting and prototyping processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks per project plan and flow sheet.
• Prepare part drawings and 3D models in Creo.
• Develop small sheet metal parts and machined components.
• Apply DFMEA and GD&T to improve manufacturability and quality.
• Prepare BOMs and engineering drawings in AutoCAD.

Role & responsibilities

1. 1. TO DO tasks as per Project Plan & Flow Sheet
2. 2. Part Drawings & Model preparation
3. 3. Zero Base Costing, TSA, DFMEA, GD & T, Product Testing & Validation, Stage Gates follow.
4. 4. Escalation & ask for help proactively
5. 5. Project Data preparation
6. 6. Prepare SEO Costing
7. 7. Able to develop Small size Sheet metal parts or tools manufacturing
8. 8. Able to develop Machined parts or jigs/fixtures Design & Manufacturing
9. 9. BOM Preparation
10. 10. NPD Flow KH (Product life cycle management flow)
11. 11. Design and upgrade products using PTC Creo, including concept design, detailed design, and engineering drawings.
12. 12. Verify designs through tolerance stack- up analysis, prototyping, and product testing.
13. 13. Design components considering manufacturing processes like plastic injection moulding die casting, and sheet metal .
14. 14. Create and manage 3D models, assemblies, sheet metal parts, and 2D drawings in Creo.
15. 15. Apply Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to improve product quality and manufacture ability.
16. 16. Prepare and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD.

Preferred candidate profile

• PTC Creo (part Modeling, Assembly, Drawing, Sheet Metal).
• Auto CAD.
• Basic knowledge Of Plastic component for Injection Moulding Design.
