Michelin in Pune, India, seeks a CAD design engineer focused on external geometry of tires and their interaction with curing molds. You will evaluate design constraints from performance, mold manufacturing, and cost considerations.
The role requires 0-5 years in CAD/mechanical/automotive/tire domains and hands-on CATIA V5/V6 experience. You will update existing CAD models, create new master models, and support design documentation and standardization efforts.
1. Provide definitions of the external geometry of the tire (contact area between the tire and the curing mold)
2. Integrate both tire performance constraints and industrial constraints (mold manufacturing and usage)
0-5 years of experience in CAD design, mechanical design, automotive, tire, or related engineering domains.
Hands-on experience with CATIA V5/V6.
CAD Models and nomenclature of the external geometry of the tire (tread and/or marking) that meet the tire specifications, as well as norms and regulations. These models integrate mold manufacturing /utilization, cost and standardization constraints :
Estimate Performance for the design team using the CAD performance simulation models
Build Parametric CAD models (master models) and associated documentation, used for the declinaison of a series of dimension or the representation performance area (sculpture or marking)
Evolution of Methods and / or tools that improve quality or efficiency of the metier
Animation of Processes, tools and methods training sessions
