Job summary

Satin Neo Dimensions Pvt. Ltd. seeks a Design Engineer for Retail & Turnkey Projects to lead design development from concept to execution for retail outlets and commercial interiors.

You will coordinate with project managers, clients and vendors, review drawings, BOQs and 3D visualizations, ensure adherence to budgets and timelines, mentor junior designers, and uphold quality and safety standards across interior fit-outs and modular installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical engineering, Interior Design, or related field.
• 3-4 years of hands-on experience in interior design and execution, with strong exposure to retail formats and turnkey project delivery.
• Proficient in Solidworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp; knowledge of materials, construction techniques, services integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design development for retail outlets and commercial turnkey projects from concept to execution.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, vendors, and site teams to ensure design execution aligns with approved drawings.
• Review technical drawings, BOQs, GFCs, and 3D visualizations; ensure documentation is completed on time.
• Mentor junior designers and drafters; monitor workload and provide feedback.

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage the design development of retail and turnkey interior projects from concept to execution, ensuring design intent, functionality, budget, and timelines are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development:

• 1.Lead design solutions for retail outlets, showrooms, and commercial turnkey projects.
• 2. Interpret client briefs and translate them into innovative, workable design concepts.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, BOQs, GFCs, and 3D visualizations.

Project Coordination:

• oCoordinate with project managers, clients, vendors, and site teams to ensure design execution aligns with approved drawings.
• oEnsure that all design documentation is completed and approved on time.

Quality & Compliance:

• o Ensure adherence to safety standards, material specifications, and industry best practices.
• o Perform site visits to assess design implementation quality and resolve issues in real-time.

Team Leadership:

• oMentor junior designers and drafters; review and provide feedback on their work.
• Allocate tasks and monitor workload within the design team.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical engineering, Interior Design, or related field.
• Experience: 3-4 years of hands‑on experience in interior design and execution, with strong exposure to retail formats and turnkey project delivery.

Technical Skills:

• 1.Proficient in Solidworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp and other technical software will be cherry on top.
• 2.Strong knowledge of materials, construction techniques, services integration (MEP), and modular furniture systems.

Soft Skills:

• o Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• o Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• o Creative problem-solving and leadership capabilities.

Preferred:

• Experience with premium/luxury retail brands or corporate interiors.
• Familiarity with vendor management and value engineering practices.
