POSITION Manager / Senior Manager (15 - 22 Years)

Key Responsibilities (Technical)

• Demonstrate deep specialized knowledge in the Suspension Commodity domain and contribute sustainably to customer satisfaction and company profitability through the effective application, development, and transfer of technical expertise within the specialty area.
• Actively engage with external stakeholders and industry networks to:
• Benchmark industry best practices and emerging technologies (Passive, Semi-Active & Active Suspension).
• Anticipate future trends and technological changes.
• Identify and establish relevant strategic partnerships that support innovation and business objectives.
• Develop and strengthen organizational knowledge and know-how by:
• Identifying, filing, and promoting patents.
• Contributing to the creation and deployment of technical standards.
• Ensuring effective dissemination and transfer of expertise across the organization.
• Transfer technical knowledge and best practices to Designers and, in particular, support RTX by serving as a Technical Leader in Engineering.
• Prepare and complete technical documentation required to address and resolve K1 issues (Critical).
• Define, maintain, and continuously improve standards related to the suspension design domain, and provide technical assessments and recommendations for deviation or exemption requests when required.
• Support robust product development by ensuring that design solutions meet performance, durability, quality, cost, and customer requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities (People Management Responsibilities)

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers to achieve individual, team, and organizational objectives.
• Define OKR and performance targets aligned with business priorities and department goals.
• Conduct regular progress reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure continuous development, engagement, and performance improvement.
• Monitor workload, resource allocation, and competency development to ensure efficient team performance and successful project delivery.
• Drive employee development through coaching, mentoring, training plans, and career development discussions.
• Conduct year-end performance evaluations and final appraisals, ensuring fair, objective, and transparent assessments.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance work environment that promotes innovation, accountability, and employee well-being.
• Support talent management activities, including recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and retention of key talent.
• Ensure compliance with company processes, quality standards, safety requirements, and engineering best practices.
• We are seeking an experienced Development Team Leader for Suspension Systems to lead a team in the design, development, and validation of innovative suspension solutions for off-road vehicles. This role requires strong technical expertise in vehicle dynamics and simulation, coupled with excellent leadership and project management skills to ensure the delivery of high-performance and comfortable ride systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of engineers in the development of suspension systems, from concept to production.
• Oversee the design, analysis, and testing of suspension components and full systems, ensuring compliance with performance, cost, and quality targets.
• Apply expertise in vehicle dynamics and vehicle simulation to optimize suspension performance, ride comfort, and handling characteristics, particularly for off-road applications.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, utilizing strong project management methodologies.
• Conduct and oversee off-road driving evaluations to assess suspension performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment through effective people management, mentorship, and performance evaluation.
• Ensure rigorous testing and validation processes, including both virtual (simulation) and physical vehicle driving tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and testing to integrate suspension systems seamlessly into overall vehicle architecture.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in suspension system development.
• Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

Job Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a leadership role within automotive suspension system development.
• Demonstrated expertise in Vehicle Dynamics, Vehicle Simulation, and Ride Comfort.
• Strong background in Project Management, with the ability to manage complex development projects from inception to completion.
• Excellent People Management and Team Management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing engineering teams.
• Proficiency in Off Road Driving and Vehicle Driving, with practical experience in evaluating vehicle performance.
• Deep understanding of suspension system design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with relevant engineering software tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, ADAMS, FEA packages).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
