Job summary

Montra Electric is seeking a Deputy Manager Suspension System to design and develop suspension subsystems for commercial vehicles. The role requires BE in Mechanical or Automobile with 4–6 years of hands-on experience in chassis design and GD&T processes.

You will lead concept development, leaf-spring and anti-roll bar design activities, prepare detailed drawings, and coordinate with proto/Testing teams for fitment and validation.

Qualifications

• BE mechanical/Automobile with 4 to 6 years of experience.
• Design and development of Suspension & sub components for commercial vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of chassis subsystems including frame, suspension and steering.
• Knowledge of Leaf spring design, anti-roll bar design and spring layout study.
• Drawing preparation and documentation release.
• DFMEA and design calculation derivation.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of Chassis subsystems including frame, suspension and steering.
• Develop concepts and hands-on leaf spring and anti-roll bar designs; study spring layout.
• Prepare drawings and ensure documentation release for CAD/PLM artifacts.
• Derive design calculations and carry out packaging studies.
• Support Proto/Testing teams in fitment and validation activities.
• Ensure adherence to GD&T and tolerance stack-up in designs.
• Resolve issues in DFM/ DFS/ DFA/ DFMEA with cross-functional teams.

Job purpose: Design and development of Suspension & sub components for Commercial Vehicles (e3W, eSCV & eHCV) and on time support on Design Issue Resolution and Proactive design approach

Roles and Responsibilities

• The candidate should have strong knowledge in design & development of Chassis subsystems which includes frame, Suspension & Steering.
• Development of Design Concepts & Hands on experience on Leaf spring design, Anti roll bar design and should have knowledge on spring layout study.
• Drawing preparation & Documentation release
• Derivation of Design calculation & Packaging study
• Supporting Proto/Testing team in Fitment and Validation Activities
• Good understanding of engineering drawing standards, GD&T and tolerance stack- up.
• Check part product failure; Failure modes and prepare DFMEA.
• Participate & resolve issues in DFM/ DFS/ DFA/ DFMEA.
