Job summary

ESAB India Limited is seeking a design engineer to work with customers to define scope, estimate costs and develop project plans. The role requires converting concepts into viable mechanical designs using SolidWorks and generating manufacturing drawings.

You will assess risks, prepare BOMs, and interact with clients to optimize design, while applying fundamentals of mechanics, GD&T, hydraulics and pneumatics. On-site collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• Should be well versed with design calculations and motion control equipment.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electricals.
• Proficient with SolidWorks 3D part modelling, assembly, drafting, and GD&T standards.
• Familiarity with engineering fundamentals: mechanics, strength of materials, statics, and tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to define project scope, documentation and plans.
• Prepare concepts, cost estimation and quotations for customer enquiries.
• Convert concepts into 3D models and develop manufacturing drawings.
• Prepare BOMs for quoted projects.
• Interact with clients to optimize design.

Job description

Role & responsibilities:

• Work with customers to develop project scope of work, documentation and project plans
• Preparation of concepts, cost estimation and quotation for customer enquiry
• Converting concepts into 3D models and check their workability, development of manufacturing drawings
• Preparation of BOM for quoted projects
• Interaction with clients to optimize design.
• Assessing risks & deciding how to accept, avoid, remove or mitigate them
• CAD Experience : Should be proficient with Solid Works 3D part modelling, assembly, drafting, 3D (animation & simulation), drafting standards
• Engineering basics: Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Statics, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance.

Should be well versed with design calculations, motion control equipment, safety factors, hydraulics, pneumatics, basic electricals,
