Job summary

Dover India in Bengaluru is seeking a Design Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on CAD experience to contribute to piping, assemblies, and BOM creation in a diversified global manufacturing group.

You will work with Solidworks, AutoCAD, and PLM/PDM workflows on ECN/ECO processes, GD&T, FEA basics, material knowledge, and ASME standards, in a hybrid work arrangement that blends site and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3D modelling and drafting using CAD software.
• Proficient with ESR/ECN/ECO workflows and GD&T.
• Exposure to welding, brazing, casting, and conventional machining.
• Familiar with ASME standards and BOM creation.

Responsibilities

• Understand ECN/ECO workflows and complete defined tasks.
• Create BOMs and CAD models in PLM/PDM environments and data systems.
• 3D modelling/drafting of piping systems and welded/brazed assemblies.
• Work with carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum materials; manage large assemblies.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Understanding of ECN/ECO activities and the workflow involved in completion. Good
• experience in Solidworks, AutoCAD, Solidworks PDM. Creation of BOM in
• Dataworks/Oracle.
• 3D modeling/drafting of piping systems and welded & brazed assemblies. Familiar with
• piping, pipe fittings, flanges, pipe schedules. Familiar with tube, tube fittings, & structural
• materials
• Part design knowledge – Casting, machined, plastic, gaskets. Knowledge of GD&T
• Work with big assembly models, product change management, VAVE.
• Familiar with material types and characteristics – especially carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum
• Finite Element analysis (FEA) basics.
• ASME Standards. (Section VIII, B16, B31, Y14.5)
• Knowledge about standard components L angle/ C bar / Flat bars/I sections for structural fabrication.

Must Have Skills

• 3D modelling and drafting using Solidworks and product documentation in PLM/Vault
• Knowledge of ESR/ECN/ECO activities, GD&T
• Exposure to manufacturing processes, preferably Welding, Brazing, Casting, Conventional Machining.
• Statistical tolerance analysis, design documentation.
