Job summary

Dover Corporation in Bengaluru, KA, IN is seeking a mechanical design engineer with 2-4 years of experience to develop detailed 3D models and drawings. You will work with SolidWorks/Autodesk Inventor, manage data using PDM systems, and contribute to sustaining engineering initiatives.

The role requires experience in gear pumps/gear design or hydraulics, strong materials knowledge, and ability to communicate effectively within a team to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks or any other 3D modeling (Part modelling, sheet metal, Assemblies, Drawings).
• Experience with a PDM system (DBworks, SolidWorks PDM, Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.).
• Experience in gear pumps/gear design/hydraulics industry and understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work in a team and meet timelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks/ Autodesk Inventor (added advantage).
• Sustaining engineering (ECO/ECR/ECN). Ensure good quality of detailing and engineering deliveries. Perform engineering calculations to validate design integrity, strength, and performance
• Design components and assemblies for sheet metal, fabrication, casting, machining, and welded structures. Apply GD&T principles for precise dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, design documentation, and technical reports. Troubleshoot design issues and propose solutions based on engineering principles

Experience: 2-4Yrs

Must have Skills:

• Must have worked in Gear pumps/ gear design/ hydraulics industry. Good understanding of engineering fundamentals, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in selecting standard parts like Motors, bearings, seals, valves etc. Experience in material selection, heat treatment and coating technologies. Hands-on experience in Casting design, Fabrication design, Welded structures, Machined components, Sheet metal design.
• Should have Excellent communication skills both Verbal and written communication. Should have ability to communicate with others on own ideas and opinions. Be able to work in a team. Document and communicate well at each step. Adhere to quality requirements and timeline. Be the owner of the assigned project or task
