Deputy Manger - Project & Contract Management

Job summary

KSB Limited in India seeks a project manager to drive contract execution, meet timelines, and coordinate with customers and internal teams for new and large orders.

You will review orders, organize kick-off meetings, monitor progress with SAP and other tools, ensure timely post‑order documents, track cash flow, and maintain strong client relationships through proactive service and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Execution of Project / Contract as per Project Timelines without any penalty from clients.
• Review contract orders and conduct Project Kick off meeting with Customers and Internal team for new and big orders.
• Plan & work towards achievement of Sales Plan as per schedule.
• Coordinate with MRP / SCM / Production and send SO wise status /MPR update to Customers.
• Submit final technical & commercial documentation and get the approval – IRN / MDCC.
• Organize and attend the meetings with Customer / Client / Consultant / Vendors to expedite approvals, advances and / or any other requirements to maintain project schedule.
• Co-ordinate with Operations and QM for execution of Inspection activities.
• Follow-up / Keep track of LD orders, LD waiver requests with necessary justification and final payment.
• Track cash flow of order and ensure advances and payments on time.
• Communicating effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management.
• Continually seeking opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
• Managing client expectations effectively.
• Enhance client relationships through excellent service, follow-up and successful project completion.
• Cash Flow Management.
• Contribution Margin improvement of the project.
• Monitor the team workload and ensure that orders are assigned as per the workload and capabilities of individual contract managers.
• Ensure that all internal orders from other plants are booked in time and scheduled as per the Purchase order delivery date.
• Ensure timely submission of post order documents and receipt of approval and manufacturing clearances.
• Periodic review of orders on hand with the team using SAP reports and other tools. Identify risks and initiate actions for mitigation.
• Ensure that all orders are executed within contractual delivery. In case of any delays, identify reasons and ensure receipt of delivery extensions prior to dispatch.
• Periodic reporting of the team performance to supervisor in the prescribed format.
• Ensure that all requirements as per the KSB QMS and other systems are being followed.
