Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. in Nashik is seeking a Diploma-qualified technician to support welding and BIW assembly, monitor process stability, and assist in quality checks on the shop floor.

You will coordinate with operators, supervisors, and maintenance teams to ensure targets, safety, and adherence to 5S and EHS standards, while contributing to Kaizen and lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical is required.
• Degree with 2 yrs. of experience or Diploma with 3 yrs. of experience as per the posting.

Responsibilities

• Support Welding Process activities including MIG/MAG and Projection Welding.
• Assist BIW assembly processes and ensure proper fitment of body components.
• Participate in quality checks, root cause analysis, and Kaizen initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to EHS, safety standards, and 5S on the shop floor.

Job description

• Ensure production targets are achieved as per plan.
• Support line balancing and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with operators, supervisors, and maintenance teams.

Welding Process Support

• Support Spot Welding, MIG/MAG Welding, and Projection Welding operations.
• Monitor welding parameters and process stability.
• Assist in weld quality inspections and defect reduction activities.
• Support robotic welding cell operations.

Body Shop Manufacturing

• Work on Body-in-White (BIW) assembly processes.
• Ensure proper fitment and assembly of body components.
• Support dimensional quality and body geometry control.
• Ensure adherence to manufacturing standards and work instructions.

Quality Assurance

• Conduct quality checks and defect analysis.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, and process audits.
• Ensure compliance with customer and company quality requirements.
• Participate in Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Support cycle time reduction and productivity improvement projects.
• Track and report production performance metrics.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow EHS and shop floor safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with 5S requirements.
• Support implementation of safe working practices.
