Job summary

Asahi India Glass Limited (AIS) in Gujarat seeks a TQM Coordinator to promote total quality management across AIS locations in AUTO & ARCH BU. You will design systems, coordinate training, and drive TQM initiatives.

The role involves conducting trainings, audits, PDCA/QCC activities, and coordinating with external consultants. A strong background in Six Sigma, PDCA, and quality systems is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote TQM culture at AIS locations across AUTO & ARCH BU.

• Organize PDCA, QCC activities and foster daily work management.

• Ensure safety SOPs and safety audit adherence.

TQM Coordinator - AAP

Role Description

Role purpose: To promote TQM culture at all AIS locations of AUTO & ARCH BU.

Reporting

Reporting to Corporate Head - TQM.

Responsibilities

• Manpower Development: design the system & contents for TQM education to all employees of AIS - Lateral hires, GET & FTE.
• Conduct training on the different topics at plant locations. Number of trainings delivered.
• Arrange training from external agencies as per requirement. Schedule vs. actual - number of trainings.
• TQM Promotion: create & update the TQM knowledge portal and website.
• Organize employee involvement & motivational activities such as PDCA, QCC, KAIZEN competitions; internal competition as per plan.
• Conduct TQM audits of all plants, improving TQM score.
• Overall involvement: identify PDCA and deep analysis in plant, number of PDCA identified.
• Review PDCA/deep analysis and guide team; number of PDCA completed.
• Promote QCC culture in plants; number of QCC across group.
• Establish & strengthen daily work management practices in all departments.
• Coordinate visits of TQM consultant as per plan; plan vs actual.
• Coordinate MPS‑related activities at Bawal Plant; update activities.
• Carry out weekly/monthly TQM reviews as per schedule; schedule/actual.
• Arrange half‑yearly TQM Steering Committee review; plan/actual.
• Establish new practices: introduction and implementation of Six Sigma practices; schedule vs actual.
• Implement new initiatives directed by TQM consultant as per plan; plan vs actual.
• Implement new initiatives directed by top management as per plan; plan vs actual.
• Identify & implement best practices in the company.
• Safety: follow SOPs for safety. Safety audit score/calendar.
