Job summary

Karamtara Engineering in India seeks a senior quality professional to lead quality operations, lean management, QMS implementation (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001), and supplier quality across manufacturing projects.

The role includes audits, process validation, reviewing NCRs, and maintaining quality records; you will liaise with project sponsors, customers, and cross-functional teams to ensure defect-free delivery and compliance.

Qualifications

• B.E./Diploma in Mechanical is required.
• 15–20 years of experience in manufacturing/engineering roles.
• Willing to travel and flexible to work across sites.

Responsibilities

• Quality operations and lean management as core responsibilities.
• Implement QMS and ensure compliance (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
• Quality assurance, supplier quality, and new product development oversight.
• Audit planning and conducting internal/external audits.
• Review NCRs, accept/reject quality records, and approve procedures.

Role Summary

The job includes

Key Responsibilities

• To Liaise with Project Sponsor and / or Customer
• To Roll out a virtual quality set up within project and programs
• To establish Inspection stages level to ensure that services are delivered are free of defects and meeting customer expectation.
• To review the recommendation for all NCR and approve the same.
• To review ITP match with Customer expectation and forward to the Project team for customer approval.
• To review all Quality Records and Approve.To create review procedure, forms and records best suitable for the QC and approve it.
• To Implement ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 established in the company
• To maintain all quality records and Good House Keeping.

Key Performance Indicators

• % error in manufacturing process .
• No. Of customer complaints handled and action taken.
• No of errors detected and corrected within the stipulated time frame.
• Establish testing facilities or virtual setup according to the project.

Liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organization to ensure that the QA system is functioning properly.

Liaise with clients, auditors etc to ensure the Quality of the product is maintained at all times.

Profile

• B.E/diploma in Mechanical
• 15-20 years of experience in above areas preferably in Manufacturing /medium / large engineering and transmission company
• Willing to travel and has flexible approach to work.
• The Post holder is contracted to work at any establishment of the organisation at any time throughout the duration of his/her Service Period or contract
