Job summary

Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation, a unit of Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd., is seeking a Deputy Manager – R&D for its Ahmednagar laboratory.

The role involves scheduling tests, maintaining KPIs, updating test setups to align with evolving standards, creating procedures and reports, and ensuring NABL/BIS/DEKRA/ISO compliance while promoting a safe and efficient work environment. You will contribute to product development through rigorous testing.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and assigning tests to technicians and ensuring completion.
• Maintaining and improving KPIs (response time, output) of the laboratory.
• Interpreting international/national standards and upgrading test setups accordingly.
• Creating test procedures, test reports, and new test methods for non-standard tests.
• Maintaining accreditation and preparing for NABL, BIS, DEKRA, ISO audits and compliance.
• Fostering a safe working environment and introducing new processes to improve procedures.
• Understanding products to simulate functional tests and contribute during product development.

Job role:

• Scheduling & assigning tests to technicians and getting it done. Maintaining and improving KPI’s (Response time, output, etc.,) of the laboratory continuously.
• Interpretation of various international/national standards and upgradation/addition of test setups in line with amendments in standards
• Creating test procedures, test reports, new test methods for non-standard tests and decision sheets.
• Maintaining accreditation of the laboratory and continuously following the laboratory operating procedure as defined by IECEE. Preparing the laboratory for external/internal audits like NABL, BIS, DEKRA, ISO 14001 & 45001, SNI, TSE, etc., and complying with the requirements.
• Creating a safe working environment and continuously improving by introducing new processes and working practices.
• Good understanding of products & their application so as to simulate functional tests, type tests and contribute during the product development stage.
