Job summary

Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation, a unit of Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd., is seeking a Manager - R&D with 5-8 years of experience in electrical engineering.

The role focuses on new product development for low voltage switchgear, product variance, type testing, and cross-functional support for marketing, manufacturing and industrialization teams. The ideal candidate will showcase strong CAD/Creo skills, Six Sigma experience and solid knowledge of LV standards.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech (Electrical Engineer) is required.
• 5-8 years of experience in R&D for LV switchgear or related fields.
• Experience with type testing and certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead New Product Development for Low Voltage Switchgear (Final Distribution products: MCBs, RCCB, RCBOs & MCCBs).
• Drive product variance and improvements per market needs.
• Oversee type testing and product certifications.
• Provide technical support to Marketing, Manufacturing and Industrialization teams.
• Apply Six Sigma quality tools across the development cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• New Product Development in Low Voltage Switchgear Standard products- Final Distribution products portfolio (MCBs, RCCB, RCBOs & MCCBs).
• Product variance & improvements based on market requirements.
• Type testing & Certification of products.
• Technical support to Marketing, Manufacturing & Industrialization team.
• Application of Six Sigma quality tools across product development cycle.

Functional Competencies

• Basic understanding on LV standards IEC 60947-1&2 (Circuit Breaker), IEC 60898 (MCB), IEC 61008 (RCCB), IEC 61009 (RCBO).
• Experienced in use of CAD & CEA tools (Creo) - FEA will be added advantage.
• Coordination with Cross functional team, external test labs, Customers & Vendors in ensuring Project deliverables.
• Strong subject knowledge expertise in field of Electrical Engineering & Electromechanical (Electronics will be added advantage).
