Job summary

Schneider Electric in Coimbatore is seeking a BE - Mechanical professional with 3-5 years of experience to prepare the mechanical BOMs for LV switchboards, design custom assemblies, and ensure timely quality delivery. You will collaborate with plant manufacturing and front-end sales for technical support, and drive cost-optimisation via value engineering.

The role requires IEC 61439 knowledge, 2D CAD in AutoCAD, 3D Creo modelling, SAP ERP proficiency, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IEC 61439 standard & Low voltage panel design & manufacturing.
• 2D CAD in AutoCAD and 3D modelling in Creo – sheet metal, assembly, drawings.
• Sheet metal processing and manufacturing; SAP ERP management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; project management skills.
• Interact with electrical engineers, customers, project managers, and trainers for design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical BOM for LV switchboard per customer and R&D guidelines.
• Propose and develop complex technical solutions; design custom assemblies if needed.
• Coordinate with plant manufacturing and front-end sales for technical support.
• Revise drawings, control changes, and drive process improvements.
• Upload and maintain BOMs in SAP; drive value engineering and cost optimisation.

• Autonomy to propose and develop complex technical solutions
• Design custom assemblies based on custom requirements, in case non-existence of standard assemblies.
• Completing all the orders and projects with expected quality.
• Close co - ordination with the Plant manufacturing & front-end sales for the technical support
• Drawing revision, Control of drawings & manages the change Management
• Involving & driving the various process improvement activities
• Driving the Value Engineering & Cost optimisation projects to improve the margin
• Take up stretched assignments as and when needed.
• Uploading and maintaining the BOMs in SAP
