Schneider Electric Corp in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, is seeking a BE Mechanical with 3-5 years of experience to design and deliver BOMs, CAD drawings, and cost-optimized assemblies for low‑voltage switchgear. You will collaborate with electrical engineers, PMs, and front‑end sales to implement IEC 61439 guidelines and ensure high quality across projects.

You will work with SAP MM, Creo, and AutoCAD while supporting process improvements and value‑engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IEC 61439 standard and LV panel design/manufacturing.
• 2D CAD in AutoCAD and 3D modeling in Creo for sheet metal and assemblies.
• Sheet metal processing and manufacturing know-how.
• SAP MM module experience is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Project management and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interact with engineers, customers, PMs, and trainers for design solutions.
• Excel Power Automate, Power Queries, and Excel Macros knowledge is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Prepare BOMs for LV switchboards per customer/E&D guidelines.
• Develop complex technical solutions and custom assemblies as needed.
• Ensure timely completion of orders/projects with quality.
• Coordinate with plant manufacturing and sales for technical support.
• Review drawings, manage changes, and drive process improvements.
• Lead value engineering and cost-optimization initiatives to improve margins.
• Upload and maintain BOMs in SAP.

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables:

1. Prepare the Mechanical Bill of Material for the Low voltage switchboard as per the customer/Electrical requirements & R&D guideline.
2. Autonomy to propose and develop complex technical solutions
3. Design custom assemblies based on custom requirements, in case non-existence of standard assemblies.
4. Completing all the orders and projects with expected quality.
5. Close co – ordination with the Plant manufacturing & front-end sales for the technical support
6. Drawing revision, Control of drawings & manages the change Management
7. Involving & driving the various process improvement activities
8. Driving the Value Engineering & Cost optimisation projects to improve the margin
9. Take up stretched assignments as and when needed.
10. Uploading and maintaining the BOMs in SAP

Skills:

1. Knowledge of IEC 61439 standard & Low voltage Panel Design & manufacturing.
2. 2D CAD in Autocad & 3D modelling in Creo – sheet metal, Assembly, Drawings
3. Sheet metal processing & manufacturing.
4. SAP – ERP management (Material Management module)
5. Excellent in verbal and written communication
6. Project Management
7. Excellent Analytical & Problem-Solving skills
8. Should be able to interact with Electrical Engineers, Customers, Project Managers, and Trainers to seek design solutions
9. Knowledge on Excel power Automate, Power Queries, Excel Macros will be added advantage
