Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. in Chennai seeks a senior civil project professional to plan, execute and monitor large-scale construction activities in line with approved drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities include ensuring on-time delivery within budget and quality targets, coordinating with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams, and maintaining QA/QC standards in IS codes. Proficiency in CAD and MS Office is valued.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Civil Engineering.
• 12–15 years of relevant civil project experience.
• Experience in contract management and vendor liaison.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor civil construction activities per drawings and specs.
• Ensure project completion within approved cost, quality and schedule.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Review QA/QC procedures and monitor quality of RCC, steel, masonry, roads and utilities.
• Prepare and verify BOQs and quantity take-offs from drawings; verify contractor bills.

Job description

1.Project execution : Plan, execute, and monitor civil construction activities as per approved drawings and specifications.
2. Ensure completion of projects within approved cost, quality, and schedule.
3. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
4. Quality Management - Ensure compliance with approved Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures / Monitor quality of RCC, structural steel, masonry, finishing, roads, and utility works / Review material test reports and conduct site inspections.
5.Ensure compliance with applicable IS Codes, NBC, and company standards / Quantity Surveying & Estimation / Prepare and verify BOQs and quantity take-offs from drawings / Verify executed quantities for contractor billing.
6. Billing & Cost Control / Verify RA bills, final bills, and reconciliation statements.
7. Review rate analysis for non-tender (NT) items and additional scope.
8. Contract Management - Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions / Coordinate with procurement and legal teams on contractual matters / Planning & Coordination
9. Prepare and monitor project schedules / Conduct progress review meetings / Promote safe work practices at site and coordinate safety audits.
