Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited seeks a senior Manufacturing Quality leader to drive quality standards and CAPA across multiple plants. You will monitor performance indicators, lead cross-functional quality reviews, and ensure compliance with QMS, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Strong background in automotive/industrial sectors is preferred. The role focuses on improving first-pass yield, reducing defects, and guiding root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams to meet customer

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–15 years in Manufacturing Quality, Customer Quality, Supplier Quality, Product Quality, or Central Quality functions.
• Experience in automotive, power generation, industrial equipment, or manufacturing industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive deployment of quality standards, systems, and best practices across manufacturing locations.
• Monitor KPIs and lead quality review mechanisms to ensure excellence.
• Lead CAPA investigations and ensure sustained corrective actions across functions.
• Support supplier quality improvement initiatives and manage supplier quality KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Job description

• Drive deployment of quality standards, systems, and best practices across manufacturing locations.
• Monitor key quality performance indicators and lead quality review mechanisms.
• Ensure effective implementation and sustenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Facilitate cross-functional actions to achieve quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction targets.

Manufacturing Quality

• Monitor manufacturing quality performance and drive defect reduction initiatives.
• Improve first-pass yield, process capability, and operational quality metrics.
• Lead investigations of chronic and critical manufacturing quality issues.
• Drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.

Customer & Field Quality

• Analyze warranty trends, customer complaints, and field failures.
• Lead root cause analysis and closure of customer quality issues through cross-functional teams.
• Support resolution of critical customer concerns and field quality escalations.
• Track effectiveness of corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
• Work closely with suppliers to improve incoming quality performance.
• Participate in supplier assessments, audits, and capability-building initiatives.
• Support supplier quality improvement projects to reduce defects and enhance reliability.
• Monitor supplier quality KPIs and drive corrective actions where required.

New Product Quality

• Support quality assurance activities during new product development and launch phases.
• Monitor infant-care performance of newly launched products and drive issue resolution.
• Ensure manufacturing readiness and quality controls are established before production ramp-up.
• Participate in product validation and reliability improvement initiatives.

Compliance & Audit Management

• Ensure adherence to applicable quality, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Plan and conduct internal quality audits and support external audits.
• Drive closure of audit observations and system compliance gaps.
• Support certification and regulatory compliance activities.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and cost-of-poor-quality reduction initiatives.
• Promote use of structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Conduct quality awareness and capability-building programs for plant and functional teams.
• Develop and maintain quality dashboards and management reports.

Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile/Production/Industrial or related discipline).10-15years of experience in Manufacturing Quality, Customer Quality, Supplier Quality, Product Quality, or Central Quality functions.Experience in engineering, automotive, power generation, industrial equipment, or manufacturing industries preferred.
