1.MQA in the Foundry PU at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing both Product and Process Audits to uphold the highest standards of quality across manufacturing operations. Your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive analysis and resolution of customer complaints, managing line rejections, conducting supplier audits, and implementing timely corrective measures to ensure continuous product excellence.
2.You will be instrumental in establishing initial Process Capability indices such as Pp and Ppk, as well as ongoing monitoring of Cp and Cpk to maintain rigorous quality benchmarks. The role mandates defining and standardising all Quality Procedures to align with organisational protocols and industry best practices.
3. Driving continuous improvements through KAIZEN initiatives forms a core part of your duties, aimed at achieving consistent enhancement in product quality. You will lead the implementation of POKA-YOKE systems targeted at eliminating human error and reinforcing process reliability.
4.Furthermore, you will conduct periodic process audits, utilising SOP/SOS frameworks, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) studies to monitor adherence and ensure operational discipline. Ownership of the Engineering Change Management Process also lies within your remit, ensuring seamless integration of process changes without compromising quality standards.
5.Key deliverables include fostering a collaborative culture around quality, mentoring team members in quality principles, and engaging cross-functional stakeholders to support quality excellence throughout the automotive manufacturing value chain.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, specifically a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent Bachelor of Engineering qualification. These educational credentials provide a fundamental understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes essential for managing product and process quality within the automotive sector.
Additionally, candidates with complementary certifications or training in quality management systems, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing principles will find themselves well-equipped to excel in this role. A commitment to lifelong learning and professional development is encouraged to stay abreast of advancements in quality assurance methodologies and industry standards.
General experience requirements for this position include 3 to 5 years of progressive responsibility within engineering or quality assurance roles in the automobile domain. Experience should encompass hands-on involvement with quality audits, process optimization, and corrective action implementation.
