Job summary

Mahindra Group is seeking a Quality Assurance professional for automotive manufacturing in Haridwar. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality standards on the assembly line, ensuring consistency in vehicle quality, and deploying BIQ-aligned quality systems across production processes.

The candidate will work with Poke Yoke, QC tools, and SPC monitoring on TCNR and other torque tools, while coordinating documentation, training, and audits to reduce field failures.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years in automotive manufacturing quality roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automobile engineering.
• Knowledge of BIQ/quality systems, SPC and MSA.
• Understanding of vehicle subsystems (HVAC, brakes, clutch, diagnostics).

Responsibilities

• Understand assembly line equipment processes and parameters (wheel alignment, dynamometers, filling equipment).
• Ensure consistent vehicle quality and straight pass.
• Contribute to Poke Yoke, HEP and QC tool usage for defect prevention.
• Develop and deploy quality systems focusing on BIQ.
• Identify gaps, bridge ownership, document and train teams.
• Monitor SPC on line torque control tools (TCNR).
• Understand torque and pneumatic tools used for calibration.
• Perform engineering specification tests on vehicles.
• Verify quality inspector certifications through MSA.
• Support field failure control via WRAP audits.
• Understand vehicle subsystems such as HVAC, brakes, and diagnostics.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Responsible with understanding of assembly line equipment's process and parameters like wheel alignment ,Dynamometers, filling equipment's etc
2. Responsible Consistent Quality of rolled out vehicles with understanding of straight pass.
3. Systematic Concern Resolution Process with understanding of Poke yoke, HEP,& QC tools
4. Responsible for Develop & Deploy Quality Systems in line with focus on BIQ
5. Identifying the need, bridging ownership gaps, documenting & training
6. Responsible & Monitoring SPC on line Torque control nut runner (TCNR)
7. Understanding of torque and pneumatic tools for Calibration eg., TCNR,Battery tools
8. Responsible for engineering specification test on Vehicle
9. Responsible for check man(Quality Inspector) certification through MSA(measurement system analysis)
10. Responsible field failure control through WRAP(warranty reduction audit process)
11. Understanding of vehicle system like HVAC ,brakes, clutch, diagnostics etc
