Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a Quality Engineer to own engine build and outgoing quality. You will conduct audits, drive corrective actions, and coordinate with multiple departments to resolve concerns on the shop floor.

The role involves planning MSA, supporting PPAP/APQP in new programs, and leading a small team. A BE/B.Tech in Mechanical and 3–5 years of relevant experience are preferred. Location is at our Igatpuri facility with field involvement as needed.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of general experience in quality or manufacturing.
• Understanding of quality tools and PPAP/APQP concepts.

Responsibilities

• Build and outgoing quality of engines; ensure conformance to specs.
• Conduct process, torque, and function audits with closure of non-conformances.
• Analyse concerns and implement effective countermeasures (ICA/PCA).
• Coordinate with production, supplier quality, design, SCM and maintenance.
• Publish weekly IQA rework/rejection reports with action plans.
• Lead for Quick Concern Resolution Team (QCRT) and closure of concerns.
• Implement SPC on shop floor and plan MSA in assembly.
• Contribute to PPAP/APQP in new projects; visit vehicle plants and dealerships.
• Manage a team of 3–4 associates.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Responsible for build and outgoing quality of engines
• Responsible for conducting product and process audits in assembly and testing (Process audit , torque audit , pokayoke audit , Test bed audit , CTQ parameter audit , action plan sustenance audit) and closure of non conformance with systemic action
• Responsible for concerns analysis and effective counter measure (ICA and PCA) at the assembly IQA station/online , testing, user plant , field using quality tools
• Coordination with production , Supplier quality , design , SCM , maintenance team for concern resolution
• Weekly publishing of IQA station rework/rejection quality report with action plan
• Responsible for reduction of COPQ
• Lead for Quick Concern Resolution Team (QCRT) and concern closure
• Responsible for effective implementation of SPC on shop floor
• Responsible for planning and conducting the MSA in assembly
• Involvement in new projects to ensure the quality requirements as per as per PPAP/APQP and fulfillment of key deliverable
• Visit to different locations for concerns resolution at Vehicle Plants & Mahindra dealerships.
• Team management of 3 to 4 associates
