Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. is seeking a Quality Engineer to own engine build and outgoing quality. The role emphasizes audits, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional coordination across production, supplier quality, design, and SCM.

You will drive SPC, MSA planning in assembly, and lead KCR teams and closure of CAPAs on field and plant sites, guiding a small team of 3–4 associates.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering quality.
• Experience with PPAP/APQP, MSA, SPC and QC tools.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for build and outgoing quality of engines.
• Conduct product and process audits and closure of non-conformance with systemic action.
• Lead concerns analysis and effective counter measures (ICA and PCA) at assembly IQA station/online, testing, user plant, field using quality tools.
• Coordinate with production, supplier quality, design, SCM and maintenance teams for concern resolution.
• Publish weekly IQA station rework/rejection quality report with action plan.
• Drive reduction of COPQ and lead Quick Concern Resolution Team (QCRT).
• Implement SPC on shop floor and plan MSA in assembly, participate in PPAP/APQP on new projects.
• Visit different locations for concerns resolution at Vehicle Plants & Mahindra dealerships.
• Manage a team of 3 to 4 associates.
