Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. is seeking a skilled engineer with 3–7 years of experience in transmission and gearbox processes. The role emphasizes knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP/PPAP, and project management on shop floor improvement initiatives.

The candidate will work with CAD tools (UGNX6, Catia, AutoCAD) for 2D/3D design and support Jigs, Fixtures, and assembly tooling. Strong analytical skills and customer-focused execution are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of transmission, transaxle and gearbox processes.
• Experience with PFMEA, Control Plan and APQP/PPAP.
• Ability to use DOE and SPC for quality improvements.
• CAD tools for 2D drawings and 3D models (UGNX6/Catia/AutoCAD).

Job description

• Knowledge of Transmission / Transaxle Assembly /Gear Box Process.
• Knowledge of Basic Machining Process of Gears & Aluminium Housings.
• In depth knowledge about PFMEA / Control Plan / PFC . (Machining & Assembly)
• Knowledge of Performance test parameters of Gear Box.
• Knowledge of New Product Development Process.
• Knowledge of Quality Systems in general and TS- 16949, APQP, PPAP.
• Responsible for continuous process improvement on shop floor through various improvement tools like Kaizen, QC story, DOE etc.
• Ensure adherence to & continuous support in productivity, quality, Cost & delivery improvement initiatives
• Tooling Design, 2D drawing & 3D model, Design from finish part drawing using (Software’s: like UGNX6 /Catia, AutoCAD). Expertise in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Jigs & Fixtures and assembly tooling’s, Pneumatic tools and DC Nut runners.
• Project Management.
• Knowledge of Transmission Assembly Process
• Knowledge of Basic Machining Process.
• Good Analytical ability.
• Knowledge & application of Statistical tool like DOE, SPC .
• Assembly Drawing reading to design of assembly process
• Component drawing reading to design of Machining process to achieve desired specification.
• Customer Focus.
• Result orientation with execution excellence
• Good techno-commercial skills.
