Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. requires a Mechanical/Automobile engineer with 4–8 years in manufacturing design and process planning to drive assembly process development. You will work on DFA, plant layouts, tooling, and the EPC of fixtures with SAP/Teamcenter knowledge.

Be prepared to prepare PFMEA/PFD/Control Plans, SOPs for new models and train QA/manufacturing teams. Expect involvement in Gen-1/Gen-2 production and mfg strategy input.

Qualifications

• BE with specialization in Mechanical/Automobile engineering.
• 4–8 years in manufacturing design, process planning or plant implementation.
• Hands-on knowledge of PFMEA, PFMEA updation and risk mitigation.
• Experience in SAP/Teamcenter and BOM handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate product design and concepts for ease of assembly/disassembly using DFA.
• Plan plant layouts and develop assembly processes, fixtures and tooling.
• Engineer procurement, installation and commissioning of assembly and material handling equipment.
• Prepare Process FMEA, PFD, Control Plans and SOPs for new models.
• Train manufacturing/QA teams on new model assembly processes.
• Monitor assembly processes during Gen-1/Gen-2/Seeding/Pilot batches.
• Contribute to mfg strategy proposals and make/buy input for assemblies.
• Coordinate with plant teams for initial productionizing and SOP alignment.

• Evaluation of product design /concepts/Drawing for ease of assembly & disassembly using virtual DFA technique
• Plant layouts preparation, Design & development of assembly processes, Finalization & development of fixtures,tooling, gauges etc.
• Design, Development, procurement, installation and commissioning of assembly & material handling facilities,equipment's
• Preparation of Process FMEA, PFD, Control Plans & SOP for new models
• Prepare, execute & impart training to manufacturing/QA for new model assembly process
• Establish & monitor assembly process during Gen-1/Gen-2/Seeding/Pilot batches
• Audits of processes and system during SOVP & support for APPAP closure
• Formulation of Mfg. strategy proposals for new product.Workout mfg. investment for new products
• Provide input for assembly make Vs. buy proposals
• Conduct DFA & ensure implementation of input.
• Co-ordination with Plant Team for Initial phase of Productionizing
• CME SPOC at Plant
• Installation and commissioning of assembly, testing Equipment
