Job summary

SV Management Consultants in Indore seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineering professional with expertise in gears, gearbox assembly, precision machining, and transmission components. You will establish machining lines, develop robust processes, and drive manufacturing excellence in Automotive OEM or Tier-1 environments.

You will lead process planning for CNC turning/milling and gear operations, support APQP/PPAP, and collaborate with Design, Quality, Purchase, and Production teams to meet

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in establishing machining lines and robust processes.
  • Experience in APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, and SOP development.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, SMED, and cost reduction.
  • Experience in automotive OEM or Tier-1 environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing processes for gears, shafts, gearbox housings, transmission components, and precision machined parts.
  • Lead process planning for CNC turning, milling, gear hobbing, shaping, broaching, shaving, VMC, HMC, and assembly operations.
  • Drive RFQ to SOP activities, including feasibility studies, process flow development, tooling selection, capacity planning, and manufacturing cost estimation.
  • Establish new machining and assembly lines for greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Prepare PFMEA, Control Plan, SOPs, work instructions, and standard cycle time.
  • Lead APQP, PPAP, ECN/PCN implementation, process validation, and production trials.
  • Develop machining fixtures, gauges, CAM programs for new product introduction.
  • Optimize cycle time, improve OEE, reduce setup time, and drive productivity improvements using Lean, SMED, VSM, and Kaizen.
  • Support machine selection, CapEx planning, installation, commissioning, and ramp-up.
  • Collaborate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Supply Chain teams.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering professional with expertise in Gear Manufacturing, Gearbox Assembly, Precision Machining, Transmission Components, and New Product Industrialization. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in establishing machining lines, developing robust manufacturing processes, supporting RFQ to SOP activities, and driving manufacturing excellence in an Automotive OEM or Tier-1 environment.

Role & responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing processes for gears, shafts, gearbox housings, transmission components, and precision machined parts.
  • Lead process planning for CNC Turning, Milling, Gear Hobbing, Gear Shaping, Broaching, Gear Shaving, VMC, HMC, and Assembly operations.
  • Drive RFQ to SOP activities, including feasibility studies, process flow development, tooling selection, capacity planning, and manufacturing cost estimation.
  • Establish new machining and assembly lines for greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Prepare and maintain Process Flow Diagram (PFD), PFMEA, Control Plan, SOPs, Work Instructions, and Standard Cycle Time.
  • Lead APQP, PPAP, ECN/PCN implementation, process validation, and production trials.
  • Develop machining fixtures, gauges, cutting tools, and CAM programs for new product introduction.
  • Optimize cycle time, improve OEE, reduce setup time, and drive productivity improvements using Lean Manufacturing, SMED, VSM, and Kaizen.
  • Support machine selection, CapEx planning, installation, commissioning, and production ramp-up.
  • Collaborate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Supply Chain teams for successful project execution.
  • Monitor KPIs related to quality, delivery, productivity, tool life, process capability (Cp/Cpk), and manufacturing cost.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis (8D), Poka-Yoke implementation, and cost reduction projects.
  • Mentor engineering and shop-floor teams while ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
