Job summary

SMA - Strategic Management Alliance in Maharashtra, India, seeks a Deputy General Manager - Operations to drive operational excellence across its hotel assets. The role focuses on guest experience, efficiency, and performance, reporting to the Head of Operations at the Corporate Office.

The candidate will oversee Rooms and F&B operations with strong financial acumen, budgeting and P&L responsibilities, and stakeholder management in luxury/high-end hotel environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
• 12–14 years in Hospitality with at least 2 years in a senior role such as Hotel Manager/Director Operations in a reputed international hotel brand.
• Proven experience in Rooms and F&B operations.
• Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
• Familiarity with international luxury hotel brand standards and operations.
• Sound understanding of hotel P&Ls, financial and operational KPIs, distribution, and channel acquisition.
• Experience in luxury, upscale, or business hotels.
• Stakeholder management and strong communication skills.
• Experience with international hotel brands preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational performance across the Company’s Hotel Assets.
• Analyse operational and financial KPIs, review hotel P&Ls, and make recommendations.
• Improve service standards, guest satisfaction, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate distribution performance, channel mix, and customer acquisition costs.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, brand standards, and quality benchmarks.
• Support budgeting, capex planning, hotel transitions, and pre-opening initiatives.
• Work closely with Operator / Hotel teams and department heads to align operational priorities.
• Present performance reviews, insights, and action plans to leadership and ownership stakeholders.

About the Company: Our client is a well-known Group owning multiple Hospitality assets (Managed and Operated by International Luxury Hotel Brands) in a JV with a leading Global PE Firm with a significant presence in India.

About The Role:

Our Clients are seeking an experienced Hospitality Operations Professional to drive operational excellence across its Hotel Assets Portfolio. The role requires strong expertise in overall Hotel Operations including Rooms and F&B, with a focus on guest experience, operational efficiency, and business performance. The position will report to the Head of Operations at Corporate Office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive operational performance across the Company’s Hotel Assets .

• Contribute towards Improvement of service standards, guest satisfaction, productivity, and cost efficiency.
