Job summary

Shree Vasu Logistics in Chennai is seeking an experienced logistics professional to oversee warehouse operations, stock verification, and dispatch planning. You will monitor unloading, ensure accurate inward documentation, and coordinate with Sales Officers, Distributors, and Logistics Managers to resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability of transit stock storage space as per warehouse capacity and operational requirements.
• Coordinate vehicle unloading after verifying vehicle condition, inward documents, and other required details.
• Monitor unloading activities through CCTV and ensure safe material handling.
• Verify received stock, including finished goods, POP/POS materials, promotional items, quantity, batch number, and quality.
• Identify and report shortages, mismatches, damaged goods, or other discrepancies to the Logistics Manager/RM.
• Prepare and update the daily dispatch plan in BOSS and ensure dispatch activities are completed within defined timelines.
• Verify DB sales return stock against approved goods, return documents, quantity, and batch number.
• Ensure proper storage and stacking of goods according to product classification and FIFO/FEFO requirements.
• Maintain bin cards and bin standards batch-wise and product-wise.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and inventory reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with warehouse stacking norms and conduct daily round validation.
• Coordinate sales-return activities with Sales Officers, Distributors, and Logistics Managers and obtain required approvals.
• Analyze daily workload and allocate work effectively among available manpower.
• Coordinate and support regulatory visits, inspections, and compliance requirements.
• Manage generator diesel procurement and records wherever applicable.
• Coordinate with RM and ASM for operational follow-ups and closure of assigned activities.
• Conduct team meetings and task reviews to ensure smooth depot operations.
• Prepare and share MIS and performance reports with management on a regular basis.
• Ensure statutory compliance and timely updation of required records.
• Resolve customer queries and complaints within the defined timeline and coordinate with concerned teams.
• Follow up on pending PODs and collect paid PODs.
• Monitor non-delivered consignments and coordinate with the concerned MDO/person for timely resolution.
